Naadam
A day of wrestling, archery and horse heritage, throat song and steppe food — the largest Mongolian gathering in the capital region.
Naadam is Mongolia's oldest celebration — the festival of eriin gurvan naadam, the three games of men. For one day each July, the steppe comes to Arlington: bökh wrestlers in their zodog, archers drawing horn bows, the long song of the morin khuur, and tables of buuz and milk tea under open sky.
